Chuck Koehler, a bench jeweler and gemologist, has been in the jewelry industry since 1978. From 1981 to 1983, he attended the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology receiving an Associate Degree in Jewelry Technology, as well as his gemological certification. He then transferred to the University of North Texas where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1987.
Chuck opened CMK Co. in 1984, and opened his first retail store in 1993 in Nashville, TN. A full time working bench jeweler, Chuck also travels the United States passing on the skills and techniques he’s acquired from 25 years on the bench.
CMK Co. offers jewelry stores across the country a unique service. CMK Co. specializes in complex repairs, and custom mountings in all metals. CMK Co. is skilled in gold, silver, and especially platinum. Our platinum sizing work is considered some of the finest in the industry. We don’t require long term contracts and we accept single job orders from stores. We can do all of your work, or one time jobs that come to you and need the services of a specialized trade shop.
Since Chuck Koehler also owns a retail jewelry store, he understands the pressure that is riding on the job.

CMK Co. prices are some of the most competitive in the industry. CMK Co. has a different pricing strategy from any other trade shop. We ask that you write our price code on your repair envelope before you send it to us. That way, we know what you are expecting to pay us for the service. If we agree, we will do the job and return it to you. That way, there are no surprises on your invoice. If we feel the job will require more work, and thus more money, we’ll contact you and discuss it before any work is done. This gives you the opportunity to contact your customer and get their okay beforehand. Once again, the goal is ‘no surprises on your invoice.’ We also ask you put the date you need the job back in your store to help us with scheduling our workload.
Another advantage to CMK Co. is ‘no insurance charges for return shipments. CMK Co. uses Federated Insurance which includes the cost of shipping insurance in their premium. Most clients pay only $15-$20 for return shipping using DHL which is guaranteed overnight delivery to most locations in the US. CMK Co. also has a ‘Diamond Breakage Policy’ through Federated. We’d be happy to send you a declarations page to allow you to see the limits of the coverage.
